Week 1 Challenge

Keep a food journal. Record everything you eat this week. You can record in a notebook, with your cell phone camera or video. There is no requirement to share your journal but I would love to see your journal and your thoughts on how keeping a journal helps you this week. You can even enter your journal on your thintopia profile along with any exercise you do.

Research shows that recording your food intake and exercise helps prevent mindless or emotional eating. A lot of the overeating I do is without thought. I rarely overeat on purpose. Keeping a journal will help you become more aware of when you have eaten too much

    I am ready to do this! Keeping a journal everyday does help, as i did that with weight watchers in the past. My son is motivated to get healthy too so we joined the gym together. He is not overweight but still wants to eat healthy and workout. My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds during this challenge but want to lose a total of 40 pounds. Also have a wedding in April to go to so that is an incentive for me also. Good luck everyone!

    I have been keeping a log of what I eat. I have tried this in the past, but have never made it more than 1-2 days. Now I am going on day 5. I know there are a lot of other people out there doing the same thing, so I am motivated to do it the whole week (hopefully longer).
